You have a Web presentation to make in two hours. You don't know what platform, browser, or browser version your client will be running -- and you haven't had the chance to check the endless Internet browser conditionals. And you just know your client will be running the platform and browser you failed to check. What will you do?
Never fear, cool tool is here (echo, echo, echo). HTML2EXE, as the name hints, will convert an HTML file or an entire site into an .exe file. Nice, huh? This takes the guessing game out of the equation -- for the time being! You still have that long, tedious, and often self-defeating process to go through – at least until Netscape and Microsoft make some sort of conformation.
In the mean time, the web is the way it is. And we have to use the tools that we do and not the ones we wished we had!
HTML2EXE Compile is what does the trick. Once you have the page/site open, click on "Compile." From there, you can send a bot to check your links -- this returns a nice report that can be printed or saved. You can choose to compile the HTML page(s) and the H2E Browser separately or together. You can also assign a password to the .exe file, and HTML2EXE even allows you to specify when the .exe expires! Wow!
Oh, but there is more... HTML2EXE allows you replace the UCS logo (replaces the animated "N" and "e" in Communicator and Explorer) -- you can always place your client's logo in there for extra fluff.
This critical darling will work on all Windows machines. So don't sweat it, HTML2EXE has your back... check it out!
